  • Undoubtedly the most frequent request from new clients is "can you give us a great look please... one that suits our business and makes us look professional".


    Lets face it, some of the best logos around today look so simple you would almost think it's child's play to throw something down on paper or knock something up on a PC equally as good. So it’s not unusual to find business's having a stab at designing their own logo themselves. But unless the 'would-be' designer hits gold and finds a hidden talent, they soon realise it's not quite as easy as they first thought. And that's probably a good thing on our part, because at this point a certain amount of appreciation and respect is given to a brand designers knowledge and experience... and so we get busy.

    Thinking of re-branding?

    A brand is a name, sign, symbol, slogan or anything that is used to identify and distinguish a specific product, service or business. Your brand is your fingerprint - something personal and unique to you, yet it should be coherent with your line of work or the market place your products fit into.


    After a meeting to discuss your business, (but before the creative work starts), Cloud Nine Design research your market, position and target audience. We also look at your competitors branding to see how we can gain advantage. In some instances is is a good idea to check consumer's points of view on market leading brands in a chosen field, and also to get their perception of a new brand too.


    After research we get creative and work up some ideas, two or three concepts is normal. We present these to you the client. It's usually from that point, we can see a brand developing. We follow through further stages of design and proofing, eventually providing a full identity - one that can be used on signage, printing, website, presentations etc. Certain guidelines are provided, such as font and colour usage, so even in-house documents will adhere to the new business's image.
